Meeting Room Use - Ashland

Tri-state Wild Ones is a subchapter of the national Wild Ones organization (wildones.org). This meeting will introduce attendees to native plants and the significance of their restoration in local public and private landscapes. We will end the event with a short walk through Central Park to identify and adopt at least one community native tree using the University of Kentucky Urban Forest Initiative's Adopt-a-Tree inventorying tool, and discuss how participants can use this free resource to identify and inventory native and invasive species in their neighborhood tree canopy. We hope those in attendance will consider incorporating native tree species into their own landscapes following this meeting. This event is free and available to the public.
