Purpose of Meeting
Join us as we reflect on the current state of the immigration system in the US and discuss how we can best be allies to the immigrant community right now. Snacks and water will be provided.
The goals for this training are:
1) Define what immigration is. Why do people immigrate to the US?
2) Explain the process of how immigrants become US citizens. What are the hurdles?
3) Explain what Immigration Customs Enforcement is, and what their goal is.
4) Discuss how can you help the immigrant community right now. Can you legally record ICE interactions? Who do you call to report an ICE raid?
