Wii
Week kicks
off new collection
The
library has a full week of Wii activities for all ages planned to
kick off the addition of Nintendo Wii games to its ever-growing
video and computer game collection.
Wii Week is May 12-16
at the Main Branch, 1740 Central Ave. Each day that week, there
will be time set aside for people to play Wii games in the meeting
room.
Wii games will be available
for checkout beginning Monday, May 19. Initially, there will be
about 75 games, with more added monthly.
The Wii Week schedule
is as follows:
• Monday, May 12:
Senior Bowling Tournament (individuals from 10 a.m. to noon; and
teams from 1 to 3 p.m.) Trophies will be awarded.
• Tuesday, May 13: Teen Wii Night, 6 to 8 p.m.
• Wednesday, May 14: Wii Tween Night, 4 to 6 p.m.
• Thursday, May 15: Dance Dance Revolution & Guitar Hero,
all ages, 4 to 8 p.m.
• Friday, May 16: Open Play, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Those wishing to play
in the bowling tournament need to arrive right at 10 a.m. (individuals)
or noon (teams) to register. Up to 4 players are allowed on a team.
The other programs will be on a first-come, first-served basis,
with each person getting 30 minutes of play time.
Wii Week will be held
quarterly at the library. Upcoming weeks include: Aug. 11-15 and
Nov. 17-21.
