Summer Reading
2007

summersummerWe took the mystery out of reading with fun and good times at the library through “Get a Clue @ Your Library,” a six-week summer reading program for youth through age 12 at all three branches – Main, Summit and Catlettsburg. Meanwhile, the teen program, called YNK (You Never Know), featured weekly programs.Weekly programs for Get a Clue will take place at all three branches through July 20. Children who attend will hear a mystery book or two, make crafts, play games and register for weekly door prizes. Also, each time a child attends a weekly program, he or she will be entered into a drawing to win one of three copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book in the popular series due out in July. “Our summer reading programs help children retain their reading levels over the summer,” while having fun along the way, said Children’s Librarian Deborah Jonas.
