Making Scarecrows
Oct. 10, 2006

Kids came together to make a scarecrow for the October session of the Teen Tuesdays program. The library provided stakes and stuffing. Those who came were asked to bring old clothes, shoes, gloves, hats, jewelry and other accessories to make their scarecrow unique. The scarecrows were then entered as part of the library’s first-ever Community Scarecrow Display & Auction.

Note: You can view pictures (1) individually by selecting them from the drop-down menu at the left above, (2) page through them manually by pressing the >> or << arrow buttons or (3) view an automated slideshow by pressing the "Start" button. (On the slideshow, pictures appear about 10 seconds apart. And, note, the slideshow works best with a broadband connection; obviously, you're welcome to try the slideshow with dialup, but it may be sluggish in loading the images and, as a result, may get out of correct sequence.)
