Summer fun continues

The Library's Summer Reading program is still going strong, with lots of exciting things coming up in July!

Join us at the Central Park gazebo on Thursday, July 9, at 6 p.m. for a special one-hour performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream by visiting actors from the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival. This interactive performance promises fun for all ages, so bring the whole family! On July 18, Origami Wizard Jon Heart will be hosting "Origami Meets The Price is Right) at 11 a.m. at Main and 2 p.m. at Summit. You could win a "new car" (made out of paper, of course). And don't forget the spectacular Street Fair celebration to mark the end of "Be Creative" and "Express Yourself" on July 31 at 6 p.m. We'll have face painting, balloons, games and more, and only those who participated in Summer Reading can attend.

Yearbook collection  

 Remember that cute guy you went out with in 10th grade ... what WAS his name?

The Minnie C. Winder's collection of local yearbooks is growing, and we need help from the public to fill in the missing years The bulk of the collection consists of books from Ashland High School, aka Paul G. Blazer (most of the years from 1921 to 2007) and we also have a few from Boyd County, Holy Family, Coles High School and Catlettsburg High School.

If anyone has a yearbook they would like to donate, we would gladly accept.
