Check out times for library materials fall into one of two categories: 7-Day items or 21-Day items.  Patrons may borrow up to a total of 50 items on a card at any one time, except for video games which are limited to 2 per card.  Patrons receiving a new library card (not a replacement) will be limited to 5 items for a period of 30 days.

7-Day Items

Entertainment Movies (DVD or VHS)
Compact Disc Music
Video Games
CD-Rom software (circulating)

21 Day Items:

Fiction Books
Non-Fiction Books
Large Print Books
Non-Fiction Video
Magazines
Books on CD or Cassette
Children’s Read-Along Music

All items have a one-time renewal, either in person, by phone, or online, with the exception of DVD/VHS videos and video games, which may not be renewed. There is no grace period for any items. 

Other Loan Limits

A few items have loan limits set by either another library or the company.  These items include:

Interlibrary loans are determined by lending library
E-audiobooks: 14 to 21 days depending on format
E-books: 21 days

Library Use Only 

Some items do not check out and are limited to "library use only".  These items include:

Reference materials
Newspapers
Current issues of magazines
Microfilm
CD-ROM and other computer software
Genealogy and local history materials from the Winder Room
Pop-up books
