Who are the friends?
The Friends are a group of community-minded individuals dedicated to supporting and promoting the Boyd County Public Library. As a friend there are a number of ways you can participate and be involved. Some suggestions are:
- Read to children
- Teach a class
- Be a greeter
- Direct patrons to library materials
- Promote the library
- Raise funds for programs
- Make bookmarks
- Administrative work
- Conduct book sales
- Shelve materials
- Support the library
If you have an idea of another way the Friends can help the library, let us know! We are open to suggestions.
How do I become a friend?
You may stop by any of our branches and pick up an application in person, or you may fill out this form and drop it off with payment at any of our branches or mail it to the address below.
Annual membership rates are as follows:
- Individual - $10
- Couple or Family - $25
- Gold - $100
- Corporate - $500
